The ALS Association, Greater New York Chapter is a co-sponsor with the Beth Israel Medical Center of The Beth Israel ALS Center. Located in the Phillips Ambulatory Care Center at 10 Union Square East, Manhattan, the Beth Israel Medical Center brings quality care to patients in Manhattan.

Geared toward helping patients live more productively and independently, the Clinic provides a coordinated program of medical treatment, rehabilitation techniques and psychological support in a warm and compassionate environment. Comprehensive assessments, diagnostic and follow-up testing education and treatment are individualized for each patient.

Dr. Stephen N. Scelsa, Director of the Neuromuscular Division and ALS Center and Associate Professor of Clinical Neurology, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Dr. Daniel MacGowan, Assistant Professor of Neurology and Associate Director of Neuromuscular Division and ALS Center, head the multidisciplinary treatment team that includes:

Neurology
Nursing
Occupational Therapy
Physical Therapy
Speech Pathology
Nutrition
Social Work
Respiratory Therapy
Pulmonology
Gastroenterology

Hours and Appointments
The ALS Clinic is currently open Mondays by appoinment. The Clinic is readily accessible to patients in wheelchairs.
